There’s pictures after the blurb.
It’s been a hot minute since my last post, but this is a simple “palette cleanser” project that I recently completed as a gift for my boss. It kind of worked to remotivate me to continue to work on my Zeta. Ideally, I will finish a majority of that before I go off to college lmao.
But yeah… I mean, it’s a Chick-Fil-A themed Gundam. I used Rustoleum x2 spray paints. I initially was going for 2 colors (red and white) but then decided to add another shade of darker red to increase visual intrigue and avoid a cheap/boring look. I used some shiny gold stuff for the eyes and grey for the joints and backpack. I filled in the cross portion of the shield with some superglue, sanded it out, and created a stencil for the logo. I painted the brighter red first, covered it, then sprayed a coat of white.
A quick Amazon search led to the discovery of 1/87 scale cows. It’s technically out of scale, but artistic license ya know. I scratch built the little sign on the cow with some plastic plating. The base itself is just painted wood with a grass mat cut to size (I’m too poor to afford static grass).
I think that’s everything. Thanks for checking out my work!
Time to go work on that Zeta…. (wish me luck!)
