This custom HG Sengoku Astray build was done as personal memorial for a close friend that had passed away earlier this year.

The build is inspired by friend’s love for the Mega Man Battle Network series, shown in his usage of HeatGuts as a handle online.

I wanted to use the Sengoku Astray as a base as it was a kit I had gifted him at one point, so it felt like an appropriate choice.

The arms come from the HG AGE Titus, I wanted to have something strong to represent the kind of person he was.

Kitbash Notes

There is a bit of scratch building & kitbashing going on aside from the Titus arms.

The v-fin was chopped up from the original Sengoku one, removing side pieces and adding a connector to make it lay flat across the top of the head.

The backpack had been modified to be shortened and a thruster inserted to shorten it up a bit but provide some details, along with putty filling in the void areas from molding so it shows as solid from the front.

The legs were kitbashed with the original Astray parts that came with the kit, plus a bit of pla plate to box off the ankle armor.
