Perfect Grade Strike Freedom

Perfect Grade Strike Freedom is done now. I just handed it over today to the client. Thanks for letting me build and paint your kit.

First time I built a Perfect Grade, and it was a huge undertaking. Wide areas to paint and mask tor color separation. Took a lot of work to get the masking done too, as I kept getting the paint peeled by my tape. Building it wasn’t as hard as I thought. Very similar to RG, and the ver ka kits. What made it really different was the amount of waterslide decals. The wings alone had so many due to the redundancy of the design, and those funnels.

I had to do custom blue colors for the blue parts for this kit, but the gold was mostly Phenex gold for the injection gold parts. It took a whole 50ml bottle of paint to get those parts painted.

Overall I’m happy with how it turned out. I just didn’t want to pose it too much, as I didn’t want to scratch the paint, or break any parts. The wings were really heavy. If you are thinking of building a PG, you might want to start with a simpler one, like the strike. The wings for this kit are much too heavy, and have complicated movong parts, and even springs inside. Or just go with MGEX Strike Freedom, since that one would be more manageable to build and looks more detailed out of the box.
