Introducing the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam.

The Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam is an upgraded version of the original Saturnix Gundam. The base Saturnix was designed to efficiently combat against Gundam frames such as the Barbatos and other framed mobile suits. The Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam follows that very same presence with the difference being that it uses aspects of Gundam Frames in its design (specifically the Barbatos and the Hajiroboshi).

Just like the original Saturnix , the Saturnix [Prometheus] is separated into two distinct units, the Prometheus Core Gundam MKII and the Saturnix Prometheus PLANET System.

The Prometheus Core Gundam MKII has just a few modifications (aside from the color scheme). The feet from the Core Gundam MKII caused issues due to their longer design and resulted in the Core Gundam MKII struggling to maintain stability or rough terrain. As a result, the feet from the Core Gundam MKI were installed. Additionally, more armored platting was added to the back of the thighs and the waist.

The Saturnix Prometheus PLANETS System received the majority of upgrades. The Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam received a large amount of armored plating in arias such as the torso, shoulders, forearms, and legs. However, the added plating resulted in the Mobile suit preforming less effectively as it increased the weight of the mobile suit. In order to allow the mobile suit to preform more efficiently, thrusters were added to its design. The additional thrusters added to the side skirts and legs resulted in a increase to the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam’s evasiveness and speed. However, this resulted in a decrease in the mobile suits operation time due to the added trust consuming more energy.

Below are the armaments of the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam:

• While this weapon is rarely used as the Saturnix [Promethius] Gundam relies heavily on melee-based weaponry, the standard Core Spray gun still remains in its arsenal.
• A set of twin Breaker Drills are mounted to the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam’s shoulders and can easily be attached to the mobile suit’s forearms. These drills spin at super high speeds, allowing it to easily penetrate the Emily mobile suit’s armor.
• A set of twin maces have also been added to the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam’s arsenal. These dual maces allow for quick yet devastating blows to enemy mobile suits.
• A set of two beam sabers that had originally been present with the standard Core Gundam MKII remain in the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam’s arsenal. However due to the nature of this mobile suit primarily combating enemy mobile suits that have nanolaminate armor, these are rarely used.
• It’s primary weapon of the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam is known as the GN Overdrive. The GN Overdrive consists of a heavily reinforced modified GN drive that is fashioned to the end of a large war hammer. While not as powerful as a standard GN Drive, it is capable of acting as a external power source when secured to the back of the Saturnix [Prometheus] as a way to compensate for its lowered operation time due to the added thrusters. When in war hammer configuration, the GN Overdrive acts as a thruster for the war hammer that can be charged in order to deal devastating blows to enemy mobile suits.

Trivia

• The color scheme of the Prometheus Core Gundam MKII is heavily based on the color scheme of the Gusion Rebake Full City.
• When activated, the GN Overdrive will emit a orange hue. The exact reason as to why the GN Overdrive displays this orange color has yet to be determined.

While the Saturnix [Prometheus] Gundam has a plethora of weapons, there are various other weapons that had been in development. The following are the list of the weapons that have been made since the completion of the Saturnix [Prometheus].

• A twin set of Napalm missile launchers have been added to its arsenal. This was added in order to combat the Nanolaminate armor of Gundam Frames. These missile pods can be mounted on gauntlets of the Saturnix [Prometheus] for storage when attached to the PLANETS System. These missiles can be fired while configured to the gauntlets of the Saturnix [Prometheus; however, they are mostly attached to the shoulders sections in a battle.
• The Vise Pliers from the original Saturnix Gundam are still in the arsenal of the Saturnix [Prometheus]; however, it has been modified. The vise has been made to act in a similar manner as the Barbatos Lupus Rex’s Tail Blade. It is attached with a wire like the Rex’s tail blade; however, this is only don so in order to attach to and enemy mobile suit to pull them in closer to then unleash a barrage of melee attacks upon the now closer target.
