RE/100 Efreet Custom is complete. This was the final build of 2021 and I managed to finish just in time on December 28th. Like all RE/100 builds this was a very simple build. Only one seam line that needed to be fixed and it was a nice surprise that the shoulder armor was molded in one piece unlike the Zaku FZ. Some color correcting needed to be done to the back of the leg missile pods, Bandai bothered with molding the front in the correct colors but not the back. The little yellow thrusters on the leg armor needed to be painted as well as all the insides of the bell thrusters. I added some gray on the waist armor and on the shoulder spikes to break up the color a little. Used an Efreet Custom illustration by Naoki as a reference point. For the sword blades I decided to paint them with a “heated” effect because I was not a fan of the clear parts it came with. I wish it came with extra ones to display in a deactivated mode.

I bought this kit from a builder who had partially built it and just did not want to continue with it. I really enjoy buying these built kits and working on them. Along with the Efreet I have rebuilt the MG Duel Gundam to display with the Assault Shroud. This year I will work on a MG EX-S that I got in a trade that was built and panel lined.

It was kind of tough to pose this kit. The piping at the waist restricts the skirt movement so its tough trying to move the legs and avoiding scratches. Also because it uses polycaps for most of the joints, many of them are loose. I had to jam sticky putty on the legs joints so it could hold them up for aerial poses.
