MGEX Strike Freedom is complete. I am so happy to finally have a Strike Freedom on display. The weird proportions of the Metal Build never really did it for me, but this looks as good as I imagined. It’s not without its faults, but the good outweighs the bad. Had to do a lot of work on this kit and most of it involved stripping and repainting most of the frame. I kept a few of the gold-plated parts but still had to repaint a bunch because of bad mold lines and nub marks. Other negatives for me are that the joints are super tight in some places even with masking them to avoid paint, and the articulated hands suck big time. The fingers come off at the slightest touch and I could only get one pose with the beam sabers because I was enraged whenever I tried to move the hands.

Aside from that, the build itself was super fun! I really enjoy this method of building the frame first and then adding on the armor parts, I wish more kits were designed that way. The articulation is amazing and it just looks so bad ass.
