It’s been a while since I finished this kit. It was finished just before my HG Zeta Revive. I had previously build the MG Shining and God Gundams and I had this kit in the backlog for a while.
Preperation
Even for an old MG, this kit has quite a few parts.
Sharpening
Painting
First up is the way I went about painting the white parts. Like with the HG Zeta Revive, I experimented with a blue undercoat for the shading on the whites, and a black base coat for everything else.
Next is the main blue used on the kit. Instead of being painted straight onto the black like on the Zeta, I used a Max Watanabe style preshade for it, with some highlighting.
Working on the eyes. Pretty simple process.
- Silver/Chrome
- Clear Colour of the Eyes/Cameras (In this case, Flourescent Green)
- Reverse Wash over the eyes.

- Eyes - Alclad Chrome -> GaiaNotes Flourescent Green

- Frame - GaiaNotes Star Bright Iron, Star Bright Silver, Star Bright Gold
