I built this for a MG Ball group build from March through April 2020. I wanted to build an SP-W03 Space Pod, the Ball’s precursor which was used to build colonies, but I couldn’t figure out how to scratch build the canopy after a month so I switched to a play on the Ball’s nickname of being a “spherical coffin.” I wanted to express the feeling of someone feeling like they were climbing into a deathtrap and I feel like that really comes across with the low-light pictures and the LED.

The skull and arms are made of super sculpey and then were painted. The fingers are spare MG RX-78-2 1.0 hands, I think, and then were attached with some putty.
