The idea for this kit was a Sukeban girl gang boss kinda vibe, with the oversized sword balanced against the kitty ears from the 00Q Shia. I changed the blade antenna to a Zeonic type one for an oni horn kinda look though. No idea if Ogre from GBD has a stereotypical tough big sister, but if he does I imagine her using something like this.

This was a custom build I completed in a week as a challenge to myself. More challenging than expected as I had to airbrush in sub-zero temperatures outdoors, with a portable airbrush/USB charged compressor, which meant the lacquer paint wouldn’t adhere very well and masking kept tearing previous paint laters away. In the end I just hand-painted all the brown details, but even after that the topcoat didn’t apply quite right and a few parts broke and needed repairs due to issues with enamel panel liner seeping between seams. Proud of what I achieved at least!

Paints are Zero models car paints, plus Gaianotes and some custom-mixed Citadel paint to match the Gurren Lagann limited edition Gaia brown-grey.
