PATLABOR X GUNDAM

This is an HG custom build inspired by the Ingram from Patlabor.

Kits used: Grimgerde (torso and arms), Astaroth Origin (legs and waist), Jesta (head), and Kotobukiya MSG parts (police lights and chest armor.

Paints used: Vallejo arcylics (primer and paint) and Tamiya top coat.

Decals: I was able to snag a set of unused decals from a Moderoid Patlabor model kit.

Custom parts/mods: I extended the proportions on legs, arms, hips, and torso using styrene. I added working pistons using styrene rods and magnets. The revolver and shield are scratch built from styrene.

Background: This build initially started as simple plan of painting an HG Grimgerde in Patlabor colors to break
in my airbrush. Since this was my first time using an airbrush, I thought a black and white color scheme would be an easy way to get used to airbrushing. But as soon as I got into the build, the ideas started flowing and I was completely enthralled with it making a legit homage to the Patlabor Ingram.
