I wanted to do a weathering experiment since I have never done weathering before. I only had my Gundam markers on hand, though, so I decided to try doing it just with ink. I bought the HG Gelgoog hit for it because it is an incredibly simple and cheap kit, so if I messed up it wouldn’t be a big loss. You can see more of the weathering process in the second gallery further down the page.
Here are some process videos of my ink-based weathering experiment. The skirt is the best example here of inking the contours, blending them, and then dabbing them dry, The beam saber was only a single piece, so I had to completely recolor and detail the handle.
